Building Inspection Reports
Our building and pest Inspection reports are extensive and detailed, ranging from 80 to 130 pages depending on the problems. Don't panic though, alot of this space is taken up by photos.
Buying a home is a large financial commitment and you need to be as well-informed as possible before taking the plunge. Or perhaps you’re concerned that your current home may have building defect issues that need to be addressed, but you don’t know what they are or how much they’re going to cost. Building inspection reports help you with both of these situations, detailing any building defect issues a property has and, to speak plainly, most houses have something or other that needs to be done. The question is what exactly is the problem, how serious is it, and what steps need to be taken to fix it.
In Victoria, there’s no requirement for people conducting pre-purchase building inspections to be qualified. Inspectors without qualifications can offer their services relatively cheaply - but at the cost of the level of knowledge and detail provided in your report. This can actually cost you more money down the line if issues aren’t correctly identified.
SafeHome offers an inspector with vast expertise in the field of building defects, with:
- Over 14 years’ experience working in the building inspection industry.
- A Diploma Qualification in Building Surveying (making our inspector one of about three with this qualification carrying out building inspection reports in Melbourne).
- Full indemnity insurance cover of over $1,000,000.
- Members of the Master Builders association.
Our building and pre-purchase inspection reports are comprehensive with labelled photographs of building defects.
You will receive the report by email on the same day of the inspection. And what’s more, to ensure that you fully understand the information it contains, our inspector is directly contactable for questions up until 10.30 pm.
